The first ever Emm-Tech Courses in South Wales have been successfully completed ! Here are some of the participants from the Carmarthen course at the beginning of October, 2010.

 Judith offers courses in Wales for people who are interested in learning a number of procedures that may help with neck, shoulder, leg, grip and balance restrictions.

The Emm-Tech short course was created by Ross Emmett so that non-therapists would have the opportunity to use some of his work to help friends and family.

Ross has licensed several qualified Emmett Therapists in the UK to act as Tutors for the Emm-Tech course and courses are held at different locations throughout the UK.  The course is of eight hours duration, arranged into two four hour sessions which are usually from one day to two weeks apart.  No prior experience is necessary, so the course can be taken by anyone.  It is of particular interest to Sports Coaches and Trainers; Carers for the Elderly; General Carers; parents or as a taster for therapists who may be considering taking the professional qualification.

This course does not, on its own, constitute a professional qualification and participants are advised to seek professional help where appropriate.

Details of Courses 

Course can be run for up to 12 people.

If you have 8 - 12 people who would like to have a course run at your own venue - please contact Judith to discuss the exciting possibilities.

The course will usually be run over two half days [occassionally over one day] allowing some time for the participants to practise the techniques learnt.

No special equipment is needed to be able to carry out these techniques - just bring your hands and a willingness to learn!

Ross Emmett has licensed tutors to teach 10 procedures which may help with easing pain and discomfort as well as addressing grip and balance.

This short course is not a professional qualification and participants are advised to seek professional help as necessary.

Cost of Course

The current cost for each participant is £95 but from March 2012 will increase for the first time in three years to £100. This includes the cost of the written materials provided and a DVD produced by Ross Emmett which serves as a revision tool for all the procedures demonstrated and practised during the course.

It is possible to repeat the course for a reduced fee of 50%

A deposit of £50 is required on booking a place on a course. Balance is payable on first day of course.
