June Newsletter from Every Body’s Better
Hello – this is Sam Tan [Welsh for Fireman Sam] who happened to stop at my stall at the Child Fun Safety Day held at Ammanford at the end of April. He and Sali Mali helped the day go with a smile. All the exhibitors had a great day at the Leisure Centre, even though the weather outside was roasting and many had decided that the beach was probably the best place to be!!
If my memory serves me right, last year’s Child Fun Safety Days also had magnificent weather.
Catching up this month:
· Emmett Practitioner Training
· Emm-Tech Course Dates
· New Equus training – Emmett Technique for Horses
· Where to catch up with me this month
Emmett practitioner Training
Had a great two days renewing old friendships with fellow Emmetteers from around the UK, learning new techniques with Ross Emmett and enjoying the early June sunshine in Birmingham. I am really looking forward to being able to put new procedures into practise over the next few weeks to help you all. It never ceases to amaze me that such a lovely subtle technique can have astounding results.
On a selfish note, it was also fantastic to be able to benefit from receiving treatment from the other practitioners and from Ross.
Emm-Tech Course Dates
- Carmarthen – June 26th and July 3rd – at Alliance Therapy.
There are still places available for this course – as time is running short before the course starts please ring or e-mail me within the next 7 days if you wish to attend.
- Cowbridge - Oct 30th and Nov 6th - at The Little Shop of Calm.
These are new dates for you diary and are likely to fill up quickly – do plan ahead for this course now.
- Brecon - Feb 12th and 26th 2012 - at Groesffordd Hall, Brecon
This course is my first planned course for 2012 – but there are likely to be more – watch this space ..............
- For those of you who are adventurous and would like to combine doing an Emm-Tech course with a holiday in Spain – yes, I’m very serious , I will be teaching the first Emm-Tech course to be held in Spain – in fact the first Emmett training of any kind to be held in Spain – at Luz de Luna Retreat with Fiona and Paul Davies – on September 17th / 18th. Really excited at the prospect.
Equus Training – Emmett Technique for Horses
The first ever course for the use of Emmett Techniques for Horses is being held in the UK during May and June. It is, by all
accounts a wonderful way to make muscle corrections in horses. There are a few places left, I believe in the last course which is
being held next week. So do hurry if you missed this information first time around.
Where to catch up with me this month
- Friday, Saturday and Sunday 3 / 4 / 5 June – at Wales triathalon – Long Course weekend in Tenby. This was an amazing event – sorry I have not managed to get the information out before zooming off to Tenby last weekend. Do google Activity Wales and Tri & Enter who organised a wonderful weekend – they must have fantastic connections somewhere as the weather also turned in the competitors favour – warm on Friday when they were in the cool sea; little cooler on Saturday, but dry for the cycling and then starting cooler again for the marathon on Sunday. A little hot to finish for the slower runners but Tenby looked glorious and should have impressed all who came to compete and those who came to support.
- Saturday, 11th June – Gorseinon Food and Craft Fayre at Canolfan Gorseinon. I will be selling Nature’s Little Helpers’ products at the well established Gorseinon Fayre. I will also have honey this time – it is being processed at the Lisvane Unit as I write. Being delivered to me on Thursday – ready for your enjoyment on Saturday. There will also be a Classic Car event at the Canolfan on Saturday – so come along and join in the fun and come and support local crafters and food producers.
- Saturday, 18th June – Llandeilo Natural Health Fayre. I will be at the Civic Hall with a host of other therapists offering taster sessions of the Emmett Technique and will also have the Honey and Beeswax products available
- Sunday, 19th June – Welsh Game Fair. I will be at the Game Fair for the first time this year and working alongside my friend and therapy colleague, Deb Byers of d-stress solutions; we will be offering taster sessions and selling products. Come and join us at Golden Grove – let’s home the weather stays dry and sunny – otherwise bring your wellies!
I am currently working with my website designers to produce a regular newsletter in a different format. However, it is proving to be a challenge and taking a little longer to get into the swing of it! Looking forward to developing it into an easier format to read and include photos that don’t jump about the page as they tend to do in this format!
If you have friends that would like to receive this newsletter please forward this to them and also inform them that they can sign up for a newsletter on the website now too.
If you know people who would like to come and be part of the Emm-tech courses do let them know the dates and venues and have them contact me direct.
AND ...... of course, do let your friends, relatives and colleagues know that help is available for all with the Emmett Technique and the Bowen Technique from me in Swansea, Cowbridge, Carmarthen and Llandeilo.
Have a lovely month – see you soon
