A little late this month in posting the newsletter - you can see why when you read the first item! Yee Haaa!!

 

OCTOBER NEWSLETTER - EVERY BODY’S BETTER
Hello everyone!  Having been lucky enough to get tickets for Wales’ biggest sporting event – yes – The Ryder Cup I want to just say a great big YEE HAAA ! We won!!
The organisation was fantastic; the Customer Service side of the event was excellent – with everyone – from the burly security guards to the bus drivers to the on-site marshals making everyone feel welcome; and even though we had a lot of the wet stuff dumped on us from on-high, the course managed to recover and allow us to have the tightest finishing day in recent years. The crowds were in high spirits and were, as golf crowds usually are, fair to both sides. What a week!
So I apologise to any of you who had to move your appointment – it was, for us, an un-missable, once in a life time opportunity. Thank you for being so understanding.

A really busy month for me – both out and about and at the therapy centres.
 
·         Emm-Tech Teaching
The first Emm-Tech course in South Wales started on 2nd October at Alliance Therapies in Carmarthen with 6 participants. A lovely mix of people – 3 therapists and 3 participants who have no therapy background. The first part of the course is all upper body work, so we were testing movement in necks, shoulders and forearms and getting good changes with the simplest of procedures. Coming up in the second part will be the lower body – thigh, knee and calf restrictions along with a great technique for improving balance.
The Cowbridge course follows on 23rd and 30th October and there are now 7 participants booked. This leaves a possibility for one more participant to join us. If you are interested do e-mail me asap. More information on this website on the Emm-Tech page
 
·         Swansea Natural Living Show, 16th & 17th October
Being held at the Swansea Leisure Centre, LC2, on 16th & 17th October, this should be a very well attended event with therapists and local businesses offering their services and products. I will be there for both days – offering Taster Sessions of Bowen and / or Emmett for a reduced price of £10. So do come along and say hello – and take your chance to see the vast range of people who are working to help you with your Health and Wellbeing in the Swansea and wider South Wales area. ·         Back Care Week at Alliance Therapy, Carmarthen,  11th – 16th October
To join in with the National Back Care week, the therapy team at Alliance Therapy in Carmarthen will be offering special discounts on a range of treatments – including Bowen & Emmett techniques when I will be offering 30 minute sessions for £10.
I will be available for appointments on Friday 15th October – all day.
If you wish to have a treatment then please ring the main Alliance number to secure your appointment. Ring 01267 231212  www.therapiescarmarthen.com .  These fees apply to my existing clients too – so if you’re in need of a top up then please feel free to book in on this special day.
 
·         Health & Wellbeing Event Cowbridge, 31st October
To help celebrate the Cowbridge Food and Drink festival being held on 30th and 31st October, the therapists and wellbeing teachers working at The Little Shop of Calm [Halcyon Daze] are holding an event in the Minstrel Room.
Therapists will be offering taster sessions and information will also be available about the range of classes now on offer at The Little Shop of Calm.
Taster sessions will cost £10.
Entrance is free – so do come and see us – we will be open from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. The shop is also now open every Sunday at these times.
